Aquamist 0–5 V Flow Sensor

cool runnings engineering

Description

Turn a basic WMI setup into an Aquamist-calibre system
Keep your setup. Replace the guesswork.

For over three decades, Aquamist has defined the standard in water/methanol injection.

Now, we’re introducing a new sensor designed to bring that same level of accuracy, reliability, and engineering quality to a wider range of systems.

Whether you’re running a standalone ECU or a non-Aquamist setup, this is your opportunity to upgrade the most critical part of your system — flow measurement.

Flow Sensor features

• Linear 0–5V analogue output
• 1/8 BSPP i/o ports
• Operating Range – Standard up to 1600cc and Hi-flow up to aprox 3000cc (Hi-flow selection in variations)
• Seamless integration with standalone ECUs
• Proven Aquamist sensor technology
• Engine bay temperature stability
• Adjustable sensitivity / scaling
• Compact inline design

Important Information

  • This is a flow monitoring device only – No control or failsafe functions – Requires ECU calibration
  • Designed for use with Clean, filtered fluid (≤100 micron), High-purity methanol (>99%)
  • For Hi-Flow – select in variations drop down

Electrical Specifications

  • Input voltage: 12v to 14.5v
  • Input current:  50mA
  • Output:  0-5v ( 5mA)
  • LED:  >95% of full scale output
  • pre-scales range adjustment span: up to  approx. x2.5 (subject to future ugrade)
  • The fully sealed sensor is not serviceable.
  • Maximum environment temperature: 65C/150F

Mechanical Specifications

  • I/O ports: 1/8BSPPF
  • Standard flow sensor (C):  Upto 1600 CC/M (linearity not guaranteed  beyond 1600cc)
  • High flow sensor (D):  Upto 3200 CC/M (linearity not guaranteed  beyond 3000cc)
  • Bi-directional with 100 micron  I/O SS disc filters
  • Maximum Spanner/Wrench torque between mating components: <4Nm or 3 foot-pound)
  • Avoid close to high temperature components
  • Increase methanol concentrations to avoid freeze damages in cold winters
  • Output readings will drop in cold temperatures as the fluid increase viscosity (increase methanol concentration)
